Durango, Colorado

I'm stoked.  My husband is renting a bike at this very moment!  He just got him some shoes and shorts, and he's excited.  In the next couple of hours, we hope to be on one of the many trails that is a short distance from town.

We arrived yesterday evening in Durango.  The trip down went well.  We accidentally missed a turn in Broomfield, but our re-route ended up taking us across the Navajo Dam and reservoir.  Just like in life, the detour ended up being worth it.  We drove across the dam and got to look down into a river canyon on one side, and marvel at the huge Colorado lake, complete with clean, navy blue water.  (Should took a picture, but didn't think about it until later.)

We ate dinner at a pizza joint.  Just like most of the places here, it's dog friendly.   Well, time to ride, the hubby just pulled up!

We went up to Fort Lewis College and looked around.  What a view.
