TDP Training and pics

In less than one month, Stephanie, Shawna, Janet, and I (Team Guacamole Nachos) will be in California!!  How do you train for 3 straight days of 70 miles?  I was asked that question this weekend.  My answer was simple:  Ride as much as you can.  Our original goal was to try and get 200 miles, or even 220 miles in a week's time.  The last 3 weeks I have averaged around 120 miles.  In hours, that is around 10 hours a week.  When you are regular folks like all of us riding in the Tour de Pink, I think "ride as much as you can" is a practical motto.
Janet and I strike a pose.
On one of our favorite training routes, we ride by these best friends.  Stephanie said they would make great characters for a kid's book.  Still trying to come up with names for them...

Sweet double rainbow I saw a couple days ago.  We were rained out for riding, but the rest was nice and the view incredible.

Aaron and I try to hit the trails on the weekends.  Although I've come to find joy in road riding, the trails will always be my favorite.
