Tour de Pink: Thursday, Oct. 11

TEAM GUACAMOLE NACHOS!!

                                Here we are:  Brenda, Stephanie, Janet, Shawna!!

After a 7:00 a.m. flight out of DFW, we landed in L.A., hitched a ride to our hotel, and set about the task of preparing for the big day tomorrow.


 Oh, and on our way from the airport to the hotel, we had to solidify our bond by partaking of...you guessed it.  Guacamole nachos! 

We arrived at the Marriot in Thousand Oaks with plenty of time to rest up, get registered, and meet the other participants.  Even though we haven't ridden a single mile, this is already a blast.  Everyone is super friendly, not to mention inspiring.  There are stories everywhere, and I look forward to all the people we will meet in the next 3 days.  Not to mention hanging out with the incredible ladies of Team Guacamole Nachos!

 For the first night, all four of us ladies shared the same hotel room.  We were packed in, complete with our four bikes.

 It rained most of Thursday.  This shot was taken from the front of our hotel Thursday evening.  Good news is the forecast calls for sunny skies the 3 days we will be riding.
